Colour Cubed Fuβball Fever
4 JULY, 2018
As the country has gone football mad for the 2018 Russia World Cup, we thought it would be a good idea to host a football event at our office, in Halesowen, in order to raise money for our chosen charity, Birmingham St. Mary’s Hospice.
Colour Cubed Creative Director, Steve, owns a very snazzy fuβball table that has followed him from office to office throughout the years. When we found out, we decided to host a fuβball tournament and urged our clients to get involved for an afternoon of football fun, a football themed playlist, beers from around the world and not to mention a pretty sizeable ‘Wakey buffet’ – what better way to raise money for charity than by having fun in the process?
After weeks of careful planning and logistics that even Gareth Southgate would be proud of, the big day finally came and we got the ball rolling to the sound of Three Lions. Despite Poland already being knocked out of the World Cup, Steve got into the spirit of things and had as much fun as the rest of us England fans. The sun was shining, love really did get the world in motion and despite some minor rule breaking (strictly no spinning) everyone had a really fun afternoon.
We managed to raise £140 for a fantastic charity that provides end of life care and support to people across Birmingham and Sandwell. If you would like to make a donation, please follow this link as your support would be hugely appreciated.
I’ve been told by our expert statisticians that the last time there was a fuβball tournament held in Halesowen (you’ve probably guessed it) was in 1966. Here at Colour Cubed, we believe that football is coming home – like our Facebook page if you agree!
